Michael Whalley is the principal of Edgeworx Business Professionals Inc., which is under contract with the Resource Municipalities Coalition as Executive Director. Through this position, Mike works with regional municipalities in the promotion of responsible resource development by establishing science-based limits for a project’s cumulative impact on nature, society and the economy for a sustainable future.

Mike is the former Managing Director of the North Peace Regional Airport. During his tenure, he worked to improve operational efficiencies while maintaining public health and safety, through involvement with multiple Transport Canada programs and sat as a director of the Regional Community Airports Of Canada (RCACJ) in 2013/2014 term.

Through his position as Chair Of the Tourism Fort St John Board, Mike is working with the City to develop a Tourism Master Plan and works with the Fort St John International Airshow Society as Vice Chair to host an event in Summer 2021.

Mike enjoys the recreational opportunities that our region provides and encourages the leadership that our community demonstrates throughout industry and community. Supporting North Peace Savings and Credit Union as a member of the Board of Directors, allows Mike to contribute his experience in a meaningful way to the community.
